Our grades 3 & 4 module is geared towards introducing actionable conservation measures that children can do at home. We invite your class to explore what makes a bird a bird, then discuss reasons why they think birds are important. Following this, we introduce the concept of extinction, and begin to discuss some of the current conservation challenges that are faced by birds in North America.
Following this 15-minute presentation, we have provided two different activities that your class can take part in to actively engage with the subject matter.
